Executive Chairman & President

Profile: An MIT and Harvard law graduate, Adam Helfant is one of the world's leading sports executives. Most recently before joining ATP, Adam spent 12 years with NIKE, rising to the position of Vice President, Global Sports Marketing, a role in which he was responsible for NIKE's relationships and contracts with athletes, clubs, teams, universities and sports governing bodies throughout the world. Previous to his time at NIKE, Adam served as an attorney for the National Hockey League and before that spent four years in private law practice at the international law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton.

ATP Involvement: Appointed ATP Executive Chairman & President in January 2009.

Tournament Representative

Residence: Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Profile: Gavin Forbes was elected in November 2008. The Senior Vice President of International Management Group (IMG), Forbes has been involved with tennis throughout his life. His father, Gordon, played professional tennis. Forbes is based out of the IMG headquarters in Cleveland.

ATP Involvement: American representative on Board of Directors since January 2009.


Mark WebsterMark Webster

Tournament Representative

Residence: London, England

Profile: Mark Webster is a new addition to the board in 2010. Webster, a qualified Solicitor, was appointed Executive Chairman of Metrodome Group plc in May 2008 and is also a Director of MediaPro Management SA, one of the largest Media Groups in Central and Eastern Europe.

Webster was previously a Director of Pro TV, the leading Romanian commercial television company. Prior to that Webster was CEO of Tiriac Holdings and Managing Director of Tivi BV, a sports and events management company, representing athletes such as Boris Becker and organising tennis tournaments in Germany.

ATP Involvement: Webster was CEO of Tennis Properties Ltd/ATP Media for 10 years, representing and managing the commercial, media and digital rights. He was responsible for marketing, selling and negotiating the television rights which has turned TPL/ATP Media into the world’s largest tennis television production company, generating 1,100 hours of live programming for a total of 10,256 broadcast hours via 55 broadcasters worldwide.

Tournament Representative

Residence: Auckland, New Zealand

Profile: Taking his place in 2000, Graham Pearce is the longest standing member of the ATP Board. Graham has been CEO of Auckland Tennis since 1988 and was tournament director of the Auckland event from 1994-2008. Graham has also been a member of the ATP Tournament Council since 1995.

ATP Involvement: Tournament Representative Auckland ATP tournament (1990-present); Tournament Director Auckland ATP tournament (1994-2008); Tournament Council (1995-present).


Giorgio di PalermoGiorgio di Palermo

Player Representative

Residence: Rome, Italy

Profile:Giorgio Di Palermo was elected in June 2009 and will serve as the European Player Representative through December 31, 2012. Di Palermo earned a Law degree from the La Sapienza University in Rome in 1989 and from 1992 to 1996 served as the assistant tournament director for the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Rome. He also worked for the Italian Tennis Federation at Challenger and Davis Cup events.

ATP Involvement: Di Palermo joined the ATP in 1996, working as a Tour Manager through 2008, traveling to around 25 tournaments per year. In 2007 Di Palermo was promoted to Director of Player Relations, where his responsibilities expanded to include the players’ retirement plan and officiating liaison.

Player Representative

Residence: Encino, California, USA

Profile: David Egdes was elected in June 2008. The South African native serves as Senior Vice President of Tennis Industry Relations at Tennis Channel in Santa Monica, Calif. David joined the network after serving for five years as Vice President of World Team Tennis in Los Angeles and has close to 10 years of professional tennis experience as an executive and agent at IMG.

ATP Involvement: Began serving as Player Board Representative for the International region in January 2009.

Player Representative

Residence: Santa Monica, California, USA

Profile: Justin Gimelstob was elected in June 2008. The New Jersey native is a former ATP pro who played from 1996-2007, capturing 13 career ATP doubles titles and two mixed doubles titles at the Australian Open and Roland Garros in 1998 (w/Venus Williams). He reached his lone ATP singles final in Newport in 2006. Justin currently is a commentator for the Tennis Channel, based in Santa Monica, California.

ATP Involvement: A former ATP player and ATP Player Council member. He began serving as Player Board Representative for the Americas region in June 2008.

Richard Davies

CEO, ATP Properties

Residence: London, England

Profile: Prior to joining the ATP, Richard Davies managed the South African Open Golf Championship and served as a commercial advisor to the Welsh Rugby Union. Richard was the founding partner of the independent sports marketing company Davies Day Ltd, which grew to become one of the U.K.'s leading sponsorship agencies, and was sold to Octagon in 1999. Richard has worked with a variety of rights holders that have included the International Olympic Committee, The Ryder Cup, PGA European Tour and Formula One Motor Racing.

ATP Involvement: Joined ATP Properties as its Chief Executive Officer in April 2004 and has responsibility for the ATP's commercial and sponsor strategy. He is based in the ATP's London office.



Laurent Delanney

Laurent Delanney

CEO, Europe

Residence: Monte-Carlo, Monaco

Profile: Prior to joining the ATP, Laurent Delanney worked for the international sports management and marketing agency ProServ (now BEST), from 1983 in Paris, France, where he managed the careers of a number of top professional tennis players, including former Roland Garros champion Yannick Noah. He continued to work with ProServ in New York from 1988, before managing the marketing and publication operations of Club Med, the international holiday resort company, in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

ATP Involvement: Laurent has served as the ATP's Chief Executive Officer, Europe, since August 2009. He joined the ATP's European headquarters in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, in 1994, and served most recently as Senior Vice President, ATP Properties, the business arm of the ATP, to develop commercial opportunities for the ATP’s tournament and player members.



drewett09 Brad Drewett

CEO, International Group

Residence: Sydney, Australia

Profile: Brad Drewett is a former top 40 singles and top 20 doubles player. In addition to his work with the ATP, Brad has established and managed successful businesses in Australia, including developing and managing tennis centres and launching a tennis court manufacturing and construction company. Brad has also served as a commentator for Channel 9 in Australia.

ATP Involvement: Brad has served as the ATP's Chief Executive Officer for the International Group since January 2006 and oversees the ATP's operations in the Middle East, Asia and Pacific regions. Prior to that, Brad led the region as Managing Director from 2003 to 2005 and was Executive Vice President from 1999 to 2003. He has previously served as an elected ATP Player Council representative and from 1993 until 1999, as an elected ATP Player Board Representative. Since 2001, Brad has been the Tournament Director of the ATP World Tour's season-ending event, the Tennis Masters Cup and will maintain that role as the tournament moves to London and becomes the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in 2009. As well as overseeing the event when held in Sydney and Houston, Brad negotiated a multi-year deal with the Shanghai Administration of Sport and Shanghai Ba-shi Industrial Company to stage the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai from 2005 to 2008. He is based in the ATP's Sydney office.

Chief Operating Officer

Residence: Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

Profile: Prior to joining the ATP, Flip Galloway worked for the international consultancy firm Ernst and Young for 14 years, serving many industries, including professional sports.

ATP Involvement: Flip has served as the ATP's Chief Operating Officer since January 2006 and the ATP's Chief Financial Officer since he joined the organisation in 1989. Flip oversees all ATP's operations and directly manages ATP's finance management, budgeting, accounting and tax compliance, strategic planning, human resources, executive recruitment and development, and member benefit plan design and administration. A key executive since the ATP Tour's formation in 1989, Flip led the process of consolidation between the ATP and Men's Tennis Council that ultimately created the current ATP World Tour. Flip has been integral in many aspects of ATP's operations since its formation. Flip works closely with the ATP Board to ensure that ATP is fiscally responsible and generates and maintains sufficient reserves. Flip developed the ATP's computerised financial budgeting, treasury management and accounting systems and was instrumental in the formation of the ATP player pension program that has grown to more than $60 million in assets, covering more than 800 current and former players. He is based in the ATP's Ponte Vedra Beach office.

Chief Player Officer

Residence: Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

Profile: Andre Silva played college tennis at Anderson University in South Carolina where he earned a Sports Management degree.

ATP Involvement: Andre has been the ATP's Chief Player Officer since January 2007. Prior to that, Andre spent two years leading the Player Relations Department as its Vice President. Andre has been with the ATP since 2000, when he started as a Tour Manager. Andre currently oversees both the Player Relations and Medical Services departments and works directly with the Player Council and the ATP Board. He is also involved in the day-to-day operations of the Challenger Circuit, being the liaison for the Latin American challenger events and member of the Challenger Committee. He is based in the ATP's Ponte Vedra Beach office.


young09 Mark Young

CEO, Americas

Residence: Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

Profile: Mark Young previously worked with the law firm of Smith Hulsey and Busey, and as a senior attorney with The Charter Company prior to joining the ATP.

ATP Involvement: Mark has served as the ATP's Chief Executive Officer, Americas, since January 2006. As CEO Americas, Mark oversees the ATP's operations in North and South America as well as the daily operations of the Ponte Vedra Beach office. Mark also serves as the ATP's General Counsel, a role he has held since joining the ATP in 1990. In his capacity as ATP General Counsel, Mark has been responsible for negotiating the ATP's major sponsorship deals and television agreements since 1990, and has pioneered the development of the sport's anti-doping program. Mark has also, in his role as General Counsel, had overall responsibility for all ATP legal business, including the successful defense of the Hamburg litigation in 2008.
