Semi-final Qualification Scenarios

Roger Federer was the first singles player to secure his place in the semi-finals after winning all three of his Group B matches. He was joined by Andy Murray who finished with a 2-1 record in Group B. Rafael Nadal has qualified as the Group A winner.

In doubles, all four semi-final spots have been filled: defending champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, 2008 titlists Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski, and Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi have qualified.

FRIDAY SEMI-FINAL QUALIFYING SCENARIOS

Group A singles qualification scenarios after the completion of Friday afternoon session:

Nadal wins group with 7-6(3), 6-1 win over Berdych; Berdych is eliminated.

Scenarios for evening match:

Djokovic defeats Roddick - then Djokovic Qualifies 2nd.

Roddick defeats Djokovic in 2 sets - then Roddick Qualifies 2nd.
Roddick defeats Djokovic in 3 sets - then Djokovic Qualifies 2nd.

Group B doubles qualifcation scenarios after the completion of two rounds of the Round-Robin:

Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic have qualified in No. 1 position in Group B.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi defeated Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman 6-4, 6-4 to qualify as Group B runners up.
