Compiled an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Alabama where he played four years (1987-91) and earned All-America honors in doubles three years... Earned a marketing degree in 1992... Older brother, Clinton, played at Alabama and the duo won Southeastern Conference doubles title in 1989... Has a 1-3 career Davis Cup doubles record... Started "Ferreira Tennis" in August 2005 with a full range of children's tenniswear... Won the 2005 Wimbledon over 35 Doubles (w/Haarhuis)... Named assistant coach at Washington College in 2007... 2001 -- The South African left-hander won an ATP title for the seven consecutive year, winning twice in last two weeks of season with long-time partner Rick Leach, who came out of retirement in March...Played with seven other partners and compiled a 16-10 record throughout season...Reunited with Leach at Roland Garros and lost in 3rd RD...Began to play well from Wimbledon-on as they reached QF at All England Club, TMS Montreal, Indianapolis and US Open...In October, reached first of three straight finals at TMS Stuttgart (w/Tarango), then closed out with back-to-back titles in Basel and TMS Paris (w/Leach)...Compiled a 21-8 record (w/Leach) and ranked No. 15 in doubles...Began season with Australian Open mixed doubles title (w/Morariu).

1999 -- Compiled 31-21 record w/Leach, winning TMS Roma title in May...Also reached final at TMS Indian Wells and 's-Hertogenbosch, but was canceled due to bad weather...Finished No. 13 individually and No. 4 in team rankings.
1998 -- Qualified for ATP Tour World Doubles Championships (w/Leach), going 1-2 in round-robin play...Won titles in Miami, Halle (w/Leach) and Atlanta (w/Haygarth) ...Finished No. 5 (w/Leach) and No. 10 individually.
1997 -- Captured career-high five titles in seven finals (w/Galbraith).
1996 -- Won titles in Sydney and TMS Monte Carlo (w/Siemerink)...Played with eight other partners and reached final in Miami (w/Galbraith)...Played on his country's Davis Cup team and Olympic squad (w/W. Ferreira).
