By winning his sixth Wimbledon title, Roger Federer became the all-time Grand Slam title leader - surpassing the previous record of 14 majors won by Pete Sampras.

The Swiss native improved to 15-5 lifetime in Grand Slam finals. He won his 15th title in his 41st career Slam tournament while Sampras earned his 14th crown in his 52nd major. Federer also accomplished the feat in a span of seven years (in 25 Slams from first to 15th) while Sampras needed 13 years (in 45 Slams from first to 14th). Here is a breakdown of Federer’s finals:
