Marseille, France

Michael Llodra eased some of the pain of his loss to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Marseille singles final when he teamed with fellow Frenchman Arnaud Clement to take the Open 13 doubles title. The 2007 Wimbledon champions defeated Israeli Andy Ram and Austrian Julian Knowle 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 to claim their seventh tour-level title from their 11th final together.

The 81st-ranked Clement and 31st-ranked Llodra combined in Marseille for the first time in 2007 and defeated Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor to capture the title. The 31-year-old Clement also triumphed in 2002 with Nicolas Escude.

Individually, Clement won his 12th tour-level title (12-7 mark in finals), while Llodra earned his 17th trophy (17-14 mark in finals).

Llodra was looking to become the third player this year to win the singles and doubles titles at the same event, following the dual successes of Tommy Robredo (Costa do Sauipe) and Radek Stepanek (San Jose).
