2009 CLAY COURT WINS LEADERS

The final ATP World Tour clay court tournament of the season, the BCR Open Romania, is underway this week in Bucharest and Argentine Juan Monaco has a chance to win the most clay matches in 2009.

Here is a look at the clay court leaders on the ATP World Tour:

NADAL FIVE-YEAR DOMINATION ON CLAY


Although Rafael Nadal's Roland Garros match winning streak came to an end this year at 31, the Spaniard won at least three clay court titles for the fifth straight year. He has compiled a 153-6 record on clay in the past five years. Here is a glance at Nadal's domination on clay since 2005:

SPAIN BACK IN DAVIS CUP FINAL


Spain will be making an appearance in the Davis Cup final for the fifth time in this decade, the most of any country, when they host the Czech Republic Dec. 4-6. Here is a look at Spain's results in the Davis Cup final since 2000:

50 OR MORE ACES IN A MATCH


Ivo Karlovic fired an all-time record 78 aces in his five-set loss to Radek Stepanek in the opening rubber of the semi-final Davis Cup tie. It was the third time in Karlovic's career he hit 50 or more aces and on each occasion he lost.
