Qualifier Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine and first-time ATP World Tour finalist No. 8 seed Horacio Zeballos of Argentina meet for the first time on Sunday in the championship of the St. Petersburg Open. Both players defeated Russian opponents in the semi-finals. Stakhovsky is trying to become the third qualifier to capture an ATP World Tour title this year, while Zeballos is looking to become the sixth first-time winner on the ATP World Tour in 2009. Zeballos has not dropped a set en route to the final while Stakhovsky has lost one set.

DOUBLES FINAL – BRITISH DUO FLEMING-SKUPSKI  TAKE ON FRENCHMEN CHARDY-GASQUET

The British tandem of Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski meet the French duo of Jeremy Chardy and Richard Gasquet in Sunday’s St. Petersburg Open doubles championship.

Fleming and Skupski held off the veteran Israeli duo of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 in the semi-finals en route to their second ATP World Tour final. Just over one month ago they captured their first ATP World Tour title in Metz.

Chardy and Gasquet have not dropped a set in three matches en route to the final. Chardy is appearing in his first career ATP World Tour doubles final and Gasquet his fourth final (2-1). Gasquet’s last final and title came in Sydney in January 2008 (w/Tsonga).
