The top five players in the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro headline Wednesday’s schedule on Court Central. In the first match, Djokovic, who is coming off his three-set title win over Federer in Basel final, takes a 2-0 advantage against Argentina’s Juan Monaco. In the next match, del Potro meets three-time BNP Paribas Masters winner Marat Safin in a battle of former US Open champions. In the third match, Nadal, who reached the final two years ago here, takes a 4-0 lifetime advantage into his match against countryman Nicolas Almagro. In the fourth match, French qualifier David Guez plays countryman No. 15 Gael Monfils for the first time. In the evening session, Federer attempts to win his 60th match of the season when he takes on Frenchman Julien Benneteau. The final match is between Murray, who leads the ATP World Tour with six titles this year, against American James Blake. This is the third meeting between the two (tied 1-1).
