Andy Roddick has reached the fourth round of the Sony Ericsson Open having faced just four break points, and remains on a semi-final collision course with Rafael Nadal. On Sunday evening in Miami Roddick saved all three break points he faced during his commanding 6-2, 6-1 win over Ukraine’s Sergiy Stakhovsky. The 2003 US Open champion saved the lone break point he faced in his opening-round 6-4, 6-4 win over Russian Igor Andreev.

“I felt good. It's rare that you kind of walk off thinking everything kind of went the way that you wanted it to," Roddick said. "There's definitely that feeling when you play a whole lot of matches in a row where a lot of it your kind of muscle memory takes over a little bit."

The Sony Ericsson Open draw has opened up for Roddick, who next plays German Benjamin Becker, who upset No. 18 seed Tommy Robredo 1-6, 6-4, 7-6(4). Roddick has not dropped a set in three previous meetings with Becker. Should he advance to the quarter-finals, Roddick would meet the winner of Brazilian No. 27 seed Thomaz Bellucci and No. 33 seed Nicolas Almagro, who took the place of injured No. 14 seed Gael Monfils, who withdrew before the tournament began.

Looking ahead to his match with Becker, Roddick said: “He's aggressive. That makes you uncomfortable. He can hit big serves and he takes big cuts from the baseline.  I've played him I know once I can think of where he was spraying the ball a little bit all over the place.

"I can think of a couple other times where it was tight.  You know, he was playing aggressive, and he definitely doesn't sit back and wait for much to come to him. So you have to be sharp.”

Roddick has reached the quarter-finals six times in 10 prior appearances in Miami. He won the title in 2004, defeating Guillermo Coria.
