The Canadian-Serbian team, who reached the 2008 final (l. to Cuevas-Horna), saved one break point in the first game before breaking serve in the second, fourth and sixth games of the 23-minute first set. They broke serve in the sixth game of the second set to open up a 4-2 lead.

Nestor won the Roland Garros title in 2007, playing alongside long-time former partner Mark Knowles. Zimonjic also reached the semi-finals that year with Frenchman Fabrice Santoro (l. to Dlouhy-Vizner). They have a 33-7 match record on the season, including four ATP World Tour titles.

Dlouhy and Paes will attempt to capture their third Grand Slam championship title in their fourth major final, after they beat No. 10 seeds Julian Knowle and Andy Ram 6-4, 6-2.

Dlouhy and Paes broke serve in the first and seventh games of the 37-minute first set, before surging into a 5-0 lead in the second set. The Czech-Indian duo squandered five match points in the sixth game, before completing victory in 75 minutes two games later.

The pair has a 21-9 match record on the season, highlighted by capturing the Sony Ericsson Open title at Miami in March and runners up finishes at the Brisbane International and Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships.
