Debut pairing Novak Djokovic and Jonathan Erlich reached their first ATP World Tour doubles final together at the AEGON Championships with a 6-7(7), 6-3, 10-6 victory over Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra Saturday at the ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tennis tournament.

The Serbian-Israeli duo broke serve three times from five opportunities as they came from a set down to seal victory in the Match Tie-break after one hour and 35 minutes. They had defeated No. 2 seeds Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman in the quarter-finals yesterday.

The 23-year-old Djokovic will hope to win his first-ever ATP World Tour doubles title when he steps on court in his second final. The Belgrade native previously finished runner-up with Radek Stepanek in Adelaide in 2007.  Erlich, 33, will challenge for his 14th tour-level doubles title and his first in more than two years, since triumphing in Indian Wells with Andy Ram in March, 2008.

In the final, they will face Karol Beck and David Skoch after the Slovakian-Czech duo saved four of five break points to shock top seeds and Roland Garros champions Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic 6-3, 6-4 in 61 minutes.

At the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, also an ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tennis tournament, second seeds Martin Damm and Filip Polasek reached their first ATP World Tour doubles final together after battling past third seeds Johan Brunstrom and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-2, 3-6, 11-9.

The Czech-Slovakian duo joined forces at the start of the 2010 season, with their best results to date semi-final showings in Zagreb (l. to Melzer-Petzschner) and Acapulco (l. to Kubot-Marach). They will face Sergiy Stakhovsky and Mikhail Youzhny in the final.
