Americans Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan kept on track for a record-breaking 62nd team title, as they reached the quarter-finals witha 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(5) win over Australians Carsten Ball and Chris Guccione on Tuesday at The Championships

The No. 2 seeds, who are attempting to reach their 100th tour-level doubles final this week, next face the South African-Belgian duo of Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman, whom they defeated in last year's Wimbledon semi-finals.

The Bryans have appeared in the Wimbledon final in four of the past five years, and claimed the title in 2006 with victory over Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic. Last year, they lost to rivals Daniel Nestor and Zimonjic in the championship match.

In May, the 32-year-old American twins defeated Nestor and Zimonjic in the final of the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open to tie Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde's Open Era mark of 61 doubles titles together.

Argentines Juan Ignacio Chela and Eduardo Schwank came into The Championships as winners of just one doubles match in four tournaments. On Tuesday, the duo beat French No. 14 seed Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra 7-6(6), 6-4, 7-6(5) for a place in the semi-finals.

Llodra and Benneteau, winners of two ATP World Tour titles at 2008 Las Vegas and this year’s Open 13 in Marseille, dropped to a 21-9 lifetime record.

Chela and Schwank next meet No. 16 seeds Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau, who accounted for 11th-seeded Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo 7-6(5), 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Lindstedt and Tecau won the ATP World Tour 250 grass-court title in 's-Hertogenbosch ahead of The Championships.

In third round action, Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner defeated Yen-Hsun Lu and Janko Tipsarevic 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 to set-up a last eight clash against Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
