Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan moved within one win of clinching a record-breaking 62nd team title, reaching their 100th tour-level final after defeating Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi 6-2, 6-4 in semi-final action Saturday at the Farmers Classic.

The Bryan brothers, five-time champions at the ATP World Tour 250 hard-court tournament in Los Angeles, converted three of their four break points to close out a comfortable 53-minute victory.

"We're definitely excited about tomorrow," said Mike. "There'll be some nerves probably. We want it, bad, so we're just going to have to do what we did today. We played a great match today. We played super aggressive, probably the best match of the tournament, so if we can play like that, I like our chances."

They have a 5-0 record in title matches this season, and tied Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde's record mark in May at the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open (d. Nestor/Zimonjic).

Bob said about reaching their 100th final: "That's a lot of Sundays. Two years worth. It's kind of amazing to believe how much work you've put into each one of those. Waking up, stretching up, warming up, the whole routine. A hundred times is a mind-blower.

"What's even bigger than that is that it's going to be 62 hopefully tomorrow. We're excited for this match for a lot of reasons. 62 is one of them. I like that we're playing good tennis. I like that we're here in L.A. It was my grandma's birthday today, which made it extra special."

The Bryans will face Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer in the final after the pair defeated Ross Hutchins and Jordan Kerr 6-3, 6-2.

Fourth seeds Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares reached their third ATP World Tour final of the year together Saturday at the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad as they defeated George Bastl and Dustin Brown 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.

The Brazilians reached the final in Auckland (l. to Daniell-Tecau) at the start of the year and won their first ATP World Tour team trophy five months later on clay in Nice (d. Bopanna-Qureshi).

Melo and Soares won just three points more than their opponents in an evenly matched contest featuring four service breaks. The duo secured victory in the Match Tie-break after 70 minutes. In the final they will face Johan Brunstrom and Jarkko Nieminen.

At the ATP Studena Croatia Open, Czech-Slovakian pairing Leos Friedl and Filip Polasek advanced to their first ATP World Tour doubles final together with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 victory over Argentine duo Maximo Gonzalez and Sebastian Prieto.

In the final they will face second seeds Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak, who broke serve three times from 10 opportunities as they accounted for South African-British pairing Jeff Coetzee and Jamie Murray 7-5, 6-3 in 69 minutes.

Czech Cermak and Slovakian Mertinak, who played at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals last year, are through to their second ATP World Tour final of the season after finishing runner-up in Doha in January.
