Roger Federer will team with veteran coach Paul Annacone, the five-time ATP World Tour Champion has revealed on his web site.

"I've been looking to add someone to my team and I've decided to spend some days with Paul Annacone," Federer posted on his web site. "As Paul winds down his responsibilities working for the Lawn Tennis Association, we will explore our relationship through this test period. Paul will work alongside my existing team and I am excited to learn from his experiences."

Federer has previously worked with Peter Carter, Peter Lundgren, Tony Roche and, most recently, Swiss Davis Cup coach, Severin Luthi on an informal basis. The Swiss is next scheduled to play at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament, the Rogers Cup in Toronto, beginning August 9.

Annacone, 47, is a former coach of Pete Sampras and Tim Henman. During his playing career the American reached a career-high South African Airways ATP Ranking of No. 12 and won three singles titles and 14 doubles titles.

In other coaching news, Andy Murray is no longer working with coach Miles Maclagan. Murray, who is playing this week at the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles, made the announcement today on his web site.

“I've had a great relationship with Miles over the past two-and-a-half years and I want to thank him for his positive contribution to my career," Murray wrote on his web site. "We have had a lot of success and fun working together."

Maclagan said: "It's been a privilege to work with Andy as his coach and I'm happy to have played my part in his career. I also want to thank the team for all their hard work over the years and I will miss working with them and Andy on a day-to-day basis. Andy is a great player and I know he will continue to have the success his talent and hard work deserves."
