Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka has announced that he is being coached by Peter Lundgren, a former coach of Roger Federer.

Wawrinka and Lundgren are currently practising in Switzerland before heading to the United States to participate in the Legg Mason Tennis Classic at Washington from 1 August.

"When I asked what he wanted help with, he said he wants to return to the Top 10," said Lundgren. "It's what you want to hear as a coach. I'm going to try to get Stan to become more aggressive."

Wawrinka, a former World No. 9 (9 June 2008), was coached by Dimitri Zavialoff since the age of eight, before the pair split after a first-round exit to Denis Istomin at Wimbledon in June.

Lundgren has also coached Marcelo Rios, Marat Safin, Marcos Baghdatis and Grigor Dimitrov.
