Nestor-Zimonjic To Meet Bopanna-Qureshi

Second seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic won back-to-back matches for the first since mid-June on Friday when they beat Maximo Gonzalez and Santiago Ventura 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-1 at the US Open.

The duo, who has won five-tour-level titles, including the Roland Garros crown this year, will next meet No. 16 seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, who were 6-4, 6-4 winners over Michael Kohlmann and Jarkko Nieminen.

Top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan had no problems in their second round match, easing through with a 6-3, 6-1 win over fellow Americans Bradley Klahn and Tim Smyczek. Klahn and Smyczek were both making their tour-level doubles debut this week.

The Bryans next meet No. 15 seeds Mardy Fish and Mark Knowles after the American-Bahamian duo dismissed Marco Chiudinelli and Lukas Lacko 6-4, 6-1.

Tenth seeds and 2009 quarter-finalists Dick Norman and Wesley Moodie edged past Spaniard David Marrero and Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(5) win.

Wimbledon finalists Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau continued their progress at the year's final Slam, defeating Italians Daniele Bracciali and Potito Starace 6-3, 6-4.
