Bopanna-Qureshi Oust Second Seeds

New York, U.S.A.

No. 16 seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam Ul-Haq-Qureshi reached their second successive Grand Slam quarter-final Sunday as they ousted No. 2 seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic 6-3, 6-4 in the US Open third round.

The Indian-Pakistani duo, who lost out to eventual champions Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner in the Wimbledon quarter-finals in June, had never won a US Open match together prior to their 2010 campaign.
