Haven't I Seen You Before?: Bob Bryan and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi will be seeing plenty of each other the next two days in New York. Not only will they square off in the men's doubles final, the American and Pakistani will also meet in the mixed doubles final. Bryan is partnering Leizel Huber; Qureshi will team with Kveta Peschke.

More Than A Game: India’s Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan’s  Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi continue to build bridges between their two countries, which have a fractious relationship. The Indian and Pakistani ambassadors watched their men’s doubles semi-final together on Wednesday. Bopanna said:  “We are really glad that they came out and watched us play.  We met them after our match, so we’re really thankful to them that they took some time and came out to watch us play today.”

Lost In Translation: Novak Djokovic was tripped up by this exchange during his press conference Wednesday…

Q.  Your first match was a potential banana skin, which you avoided.  Since then you've gone straight sets.  Do you feel...
NOVAK DJOKOVIC:  Excuse me?  What was the expression?

Q.  Potentially you could've slipped.
NOVAK DJOKOVIC:  Banana, nice.  I didn't know about an English expression.  (Laughter.)

Q You avoided the banana skin.
NOVAK DJOKOVIC:  Good.  I'll get that, banana skin.  Okay.  Sorry, I'm trying to get it.
