Top seeds and two-time champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan advanced to the US Open doubles final with a 6-1, 6-4 win Wednesday over Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo, extending their winning streak to 13 matches. The Bryans, champions at Flushing Meadows in 2005 and 2008, were not broken in the match, dropping just seven points on serve.

In the final the Bryans will play Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, who will be appearing in their first Grand Slam final. The Indian-Pakistani combination, which earlier in the tournament took out second seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, enjoyed a 7-6(5), 6-4 win over Argentines Eduardo Schwank and Horacio Zeballos.

The Bryan brothers are chasing their ninth Grand Slam title and the second of the season following their triumph at the Australian Open in January. They are also looking to claim their ninth title from nine finals this season.

"We were aggressive on return and active at the net, and we were able to intercept a lot of groundstrokes," Mike Bryan said. "We tried to keep the points short."

Qureshi said that the US Open final was a reward for his team's consistency in recent months.

"In the past two or three months I think we've had wins against all the Top 10 teams in the world.  It just shows that I was pretty right about our pairing together, that it would be just a matter of time.

"I always believed we can do really well in the Grand Slams and on the ATP circuit. Making quarter-finals at Wimbledon was a huge learning experience. I definitely learned a lot from it, and that whole experience is definitely paying off in this US Open these last two weeks."
