The first round of the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur 2010 continues Tuesday with four more matches taking the hard courts in Kuala Lumpur.

First up on Centre Court is Alexandr Dolgopolov against French qualifier Laurent Recouderc, who won the pair's only previous meeting five years ago when the Ukraine native was 16 at the time. Dolgopolov is ranked No. 55 while Recouderc is No. 207.

Second up is Go Soeda against another qualifier, Igor Andreev of Russia. Both players are hovering just outside the Top 100 - Soeda is No. 102 and Andreev is No. 104. Soeda, Japan's No. 1 player, is playing his first ATP World Tour-level hard court tournament in almost a year, his last appearance on this surface at this level coming in Tokyo in October 2009. Andreev is a former Top 20 player playing here for the first time.

The last match on Centre is No. 6 seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus against Kei Nishikori, Japan's No. 2 player. Baghdatis has had a strong season, starting at No. 42 but now No. 18 after reaching the quarter-finals or better eight times. He is looking to rebound after a shock first round loss at the US Open, this being his first tournament since then.

Baghdatis beat Nishikori in their only previous meeting but the Japan native has rocketed up the rankings this year too. He was No. 898 on March 1 but now is No. 123 on the strength of three Challenger titles and a third round showing at the US Open. This is his first tournament since the US Open, where he retired with a groin injury against Albert Montanes.

On Court 1, Russian Igor Kunitsyn faces Canadian qualifier Milos Raonic in a first-time meeting.
