Top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan will take on the red-hot pairing of Lukas Dlouhy and Paul Hanley in Saturday’s doubles final at the Medibank International Sydney.

The Bryans booked their place in the final of their 2011 season opener as they took 52 minutes to defeat Juan Ignacio Chela and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-3 on Friday. Dlouhy and Hanley, who clinched the Brisbane International title on their partnership debut last week, edged through with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win over Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in one hour and 31 minutes.

The Bryans will be contesting their fourth Sydney final, and will be looking to reclaim the title after triumphing on their last event appearance in 2009.  Hanley is a two-time doubles champion at this ATP World Tour 250 tennis tournament, winning in 2003 with fellow Aussie Nathan Healey and in 2007 with Zimbabwe’s Kevin Ullyett.

At the Heineken Open in Auckland, Johan Brunstrom and Stephen Huss performed double duty Friday to book their spot in the final of the ATP World Tour 250 hard-court tennis tournament.

The Swedish-Australian duo defeated Fabio Fognini and Pere Riba 7-5, 6-2 in their quarter-final match that had been carried over due to rain, before returning to the court later to edge past Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer 7-5, 7-6(1).

In their first ATP World Tour final together the unseeded pairing will face second seeds Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo, who defeated fourth seeds Nicolas Almagro and Marc Lopez 7-6(1), 6-2 in an all-Spanish clash. Granollers and Robredo will look to win their second team title, having previously triumphed on clay in Costa do Sauipe two years ago.
