Top seed Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan continued to cruise at the US Men’s Clay Court Championship, taking 59 minutes to dismiss Santiago Gonzalez and Ricardo Mello 6-3, 6-4 in quarter-final action Wednesday. They had gotten their Houston title defence off to a strong start Tuesday, conceding just two games in a 45-minute win over James Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin.

Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer, the No. 2 seeds, also reached the semi-finals with a 7-6(5), 6-4 win over Carlos Berlocq and Teymuraz Gabashvili.
