The official entry list for the 2011 AEGON Championships revealed today that last year’s finalists Sam Querrey and Mardy Fish will join Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, Andy Roddick and Juan Martin del Potro at The Queen’s Club, 6-12 June..

Querrey, who beat Fish 7-6, 7-5 in the 2010 final, will look to defend his title, but it is Fish who is in the form of his life having briefly broken into the Top 10 in recent weeks. At No.11, Fish is currently the top-ranked American on the ATP World Tour.

Fish and Querrey will be joined in the AEGON Championships field by a host of other big names such as the 2008 Australian Open finalist Jo Wilfried Tsonga and his talented French compatriots Richard Gasquet and Gilles Simon. Also entered are former Top 10 players Marin Cilic, Fernando Verdasco and Ivan Ljubicic.

The explosive Latvian Ernests Gulbis and the former Wimbledon junior champion Grigor Dimitrov have added their names, as has the man who narrowly missed out on winning the longest match in tennis history at Wimbledon last year - the 2007 runner-up at The Queen’s Club, Nicolas Mahut.

The top eight seeds will receive byes into round two, but such is the strength of the field as a whole, the draw is guaranteed to throw up some mouth-watering matches in the first round.

Tournament Director Chris Kermode was delighted with the line-up.

“This is arguably the strongest field of players we have ever had, with the top two players in the world in Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, former champions Andy Murray and Andy Roddick, and the 2009 US Open Champion, Juan Martin Del Potro,” he said.

“We also have a field of great depth this year, with every player on the entry list ranked inside the world’s Top 100. It means that there will be big names and great matches from day one and we are really looking forward to it.”

The AEGON Championships will be broadcast live, every day from 6th-12th June, on BBC Television and Eurosport.
