Three British players and the highest ranked teenager in the United States have been awarded the remaining four wild cards into the AEGON Championships, which starts on Monday at The Queen's Club in London.

The No. 2 and No. 3 ranked British players, James Ward and Dan Cox, and teenagers Oliver Golding and American Ryan Harrison, have all been given a chance to show what they can do on one of the biggest stages in tennis. They will line up alongside three of the world's four top-ranked players - Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, as well as four-time winner Andy Roddick and 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro.

"James Ward and Dan Cox are the second and third ranked players in Great Britain and deserve their opportunity, and Oliver Golding and Ryan Harrison are both young players with a lot of potential," said Tournament Director, Chris Kermode. "The tournament has a tradition of giving talented teenagers a platform to take on the world's best and it will be fascinating to see how they do."”

Leon Smith, head of men's tennis at the LTA, said: "All three British players recognise that this is both a huge honour, and a huge opportunity for them. I'm expecting them to make the most of this experience, and to build on the progress each of them has made over the past season."”

Golding, 17, who is a member of Team AEGON, reached the Wimbledon junior semi-finals last year and teamed up with Jiří Veselý to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics. He takes on Bjorn Fratangelo in the Roland Garros junior quarter-finals today.

Ward, the 24-year-old World No. 215, qualified at the AEGON Trophy in Nottingham this week, and beat Tim Smyczek 5-7, 6-4, 7-6(6) in the first round.

Cox, 20, has reached a career-high ranking of 274 this year after a successful run on the American Futures circuit. He currently stands at No.276.

Harrison, 19, is also at a career-high ranking of No.119, and his big-hitting style has been compared to his compatriot Andy Roddick.

The AEGON Championships will be broadcast live, every day from 6th-12th June, on BBC Television and Eurosport.
