No. 3 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes saved three match points in their second-round match at the AEGON Championships Thursday, squeaking past the wild card pairing of Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins 6-4, 1-6, 15-13. In the final set, the Indian Express hit all 14 of their first serves in play to edge out the British tandem.

In the quarter-finals, Bhupathi and Paes will face Filip Polasek and Igor Zelenay, who rallied past two-time Wimbledon semi-finalists and No. 6 seeds Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.

Top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan wasted no time booking their place in the quarter-finals, capitalising all five of their break points in a 40-minute win over Ashley Fisher and Stephen Huss 6-2, 6-1. The No. 1 duo, semi-finalists last week at Roland Garros, are three-time Queen’s Club champions, winning this ATP World Tour 250 title in 2001, ’04 and ’05.

In their first match since winning Roland Garros, No.  2 seeds Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor rallied to defeat Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram 6-7(6), 6-4, 10-5.

Fifth seeds Oliver Marach and Marcin Matkowski made a winning partnership debut as they defeated Xavier Malisse and Ken Skupski 7-5, 6-3. The Austrian-Polish duo next meets Julian Knowle and Kevin Anderson, who gained safe passage into the quarter-finals when No. 4 seeds Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic withdrew prior to their match due to Llodra’s leg injury.

Robin Haase and Milos Raonic moved in to the semi-finals of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, defeating wild cards Dominik Meffert and Mischa Zverev 6-3, 6-4. Haase and Raonic fired nine aces and broke their opposition three times to claim victory in one hour and five minutes.
