Lindstedt/Tecau Reach 's-Hertogenbosch Final

ATP World Tour 2011 Season: Week 24

Lindstedt, Tecau© Edwin Verhoef/UNICEF OpenLindstedt/Tecau look to repeat as champions in Saturday's final.

Second seeds and defending champions Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau advanced to the final of the UNICEF Open on Friday with a 6-2, 6-7(2), 10-7 victory over Dutch wild cards Jesse Huta Galung and Rogier Wassen at the ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tennis tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

The Swedish-Romanian duo did not lose serve in the match and clinched victory in the deciding Match Tie-break after 78 minutes. The 2010 Wimbledon finalists are bidding to win their second ATP World Tour title of the season after victory on clay in Casablanca (d. Fleming-Zelenay) in April.

In the final they will face Daniele Bracciali and Frantisek Cermak, who edged Filip Polasek and Igor Zelenay 7-6(5), 7-6(4) in one hour and 39 minutes. The Italian-Czech duo are playing just their second tournament together after a first-round exit (l. to Hewitt-Luczak) last week in Halle.

Earlier in the day, Polasek and Zelenay had defeated Daniel Gimeno-Traver and Santiago Giraldo 6-0, 7-6(3) in a quarter-final match carried over due to rain on Thursday.
