The top two seeded teams at the bet-at-home Open - German Tennis Championships 2011 made first-round exits in Hamburg on Tuesday.

Lukas Dlouhy and Michal Mertinak defeated second seeds Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner, the 2010 Wimbledon champions, 2-6, 6-4, 10-5 in 71 minutes.

The two seeded teams in action Tuesday at the Atlanta Tennis Championships also bowed out. Americans James Blake and John Isner, who will face off in second-round singles action Wednesday, knocked out No. 2 seeds Marcelo Melo and Jamie Murray 6-4, 6-2.

Somdev Devvarman and Treat Conrad Huey accounted for third seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 6-4, 7-5, avenging their loss to the Israelis earlier this year in Belgrade.
