Stepanek, Isner Make Push in US Open Series Standings

Bonus Challenge Standings

Czech Radek Stepanek and American John Isner both claimed a share of second place in the Olympus US Open Series Bonus Standings after strong showings at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, D.C. last week.

Stepanek, 32, became the oldest player to win a title in 2011 when he claimed his fourth ATP World Tour title. He earned 70 points for the win, enough to vault him into a three-way tie for second place with Isner and Latvian Ernests Gulbis.

Isner, who reached the Atlanta final in the first week of the Series, firmed up his place near the top of the leader board with a semi-final run in Washington.

Mardy Fish, a champion in Atlanta and finalist in Los Angeles (l. Gulbis) in his two appearances of the Series, leads the standings with 115 points.

The winner of this week's ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Montreal, the Rogers Cup, will earn 100 points.
