Fourth Seeds To Face Erlich-Ram In Final

ATP World Tour 2011 Season: Week 34

Fourth seeds Christopher Kas and Alexander Peya completed their rain-interrupted semi-final match on Friday at the Winston-Salem Open, defeating Santiago Gonzalez and Jamie Murray 7-6(3), 6-3. Play had been suspended overnight at 6-6 in the first set due to rain.

The German-Austrian team are through to their third ATP World Tour final of the season, after runner-up efforts in Delray Beach (l. to Lipsky-Ram) and Gstaad (l. to Cermak-Polasek).

In the final they will face Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram after the Israeli tandem continued their stellar run this week with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Colin Fleming and Scott Lipsky. Earlier in the tournament the Israelis ousted third seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles.

Erlich and Ram, the 2008 Australian Open champions, are bidding for their second ATP World Tour team title of the season, having triumphed on grass at the AEGON International in Eastbourne (d. Dimitrov-Seppi) in June.
