Top Seeds Beaten By Dlouhy-Tecau

ATP World Tour 2011 Season: Week 34

First-time pairing Lukas Dlouhy and Horia Tecau enjoyed a winning debut as they ousted top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi 6-4, 6-4 on Tuesday in the first round of the Winston-Salem Open.

The Czech-Romanian duo saved all four break points they faced and converted two of their eight chances to claim victory in 69 minutes. They go on to face Santiago Gonzalez and Jamie Murray, who edged Spaniards Pablo Andujar and Marc Lopez 7-6(5), 7-5.

American wild cards Michael Russell and Donald Young earned their place in the quarter-finals with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-8 victory over James Cerretani and Philipp Marx. Elsewhere, Treat Conrad Huey and Cory Parr ousted the more experienced pairing of Julian Knowle and Oliver Marach in two tie-breaks, 7-6(4), 7-6(3).
