Bracciali-Starace To Face Knowle-Marrero In Bucharest Final

© BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy Travis Parrott and Jordan Kerr are playing their first ATP World Tour event of the season.

Third-seeded Italians Daniele Bracciali and Potito Starace will meet fourth seeds Julian Knowle and David Marrero in the final of the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy.

Knowle and Marrero saved eight of 11 break points and withstood seven aces from the racquets of Frantisek Cermak and Filip Polasek to win 7-6(2), 4-6, 10-8 in one hour and 38 minutes.

Bracciali and Starace beat Jordan Kerr and Travis Parrott, who had played two matches on Friday, by a 7-6(3), 3-6, 10-4 score-line in one hour and 46 minutes.

Earlier in the day, in a quarter-final clash suspended due to darkness at one-set all Thursday evening, Kerr and Parrott had beaten top seeds and Barclays ATP World Tour Finals contenders Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.

Knowle and Marrero were also required to contest the remainder of their quarter-final clash in the morning. They beat Carlos Berlocq and Lukas Rosol 6-4, 7-6(3). Only one set was played on Thursday.

Second seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Marcelo Melo have reached the Moselle Open final after a battling 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory over fourth seeds Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins in 71 minutes.
