Lindstedt-Tecau Fall In Valencia Opener

Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau were unable to celebrate their qualification for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals with a victory Tuesday, falling to the big-serving duo of Kevin Anderson and John Isner 7-6(2), 6-4 at the Valencia Open 500. 

The third-seeded Lindstedt and Tecau were unable to convert their five break point opportunities against Anderson and Isner, who are playing together for the first time this week.

Lindstedt-Tecau Qualify for Final Showdown

Brazilians Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares, currently No. 10 in the 2011 ATP Doubles Team Rankings, raced through their first-round match in 44 minutes, defeating Roberto Bautista-Agut and Albert Ramos 6-1, 6-0.
