Barclays Photographic Award Presented To Antoine Couvercelle

Three-time Wimbledon Champion Boris Becker presented Antoine Couvercelle from Tennis Magazine France with The 2011 Barclays Photographic Award Sunday at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

The Award aims to capture the success of the players as well as the distinct and unique quality of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. 140 images were judged by a panel including former World No 1 Boris Becker, Managing Director of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals Chris Kermode, Picture Editor at The Evening Standard David Ofield and former Picture Editor of The Times Andrew Moger according to key criteria: editorial interest, photographic excellence and impact, as well as on their technical merit. 

Ofield, commented: "The picture shows the raw emotion of winning at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. It has great atmosphere and is technically a perfect composition."

It is the second time the award has been presented at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals to recognise the important role of photographers at the season finale. The winning photographer will receive a cheque for £1,000, with a second prize of £500 and third prize of £250.
