On Saturday, Spain's Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco meet David Nalbandian and Eduardo Schwank in the doubles rubber. Nadal is scheduled to face del Potro on Sunday in the first reverse singles rubber, followed by Ferrer versus Monaco.

The draw ceremony took place at the Teatro Lope de Vega in the centre of Seville on Thursday.

Nadal has won 18 straight Davis Cup singles rubbers for Spain since losing to Jiri Novak of the Czech Republic on his debut in February 2004. His compatriot Ferrer has an 11-0 record in clay rubbers.

Spain is playing its sixth final since a first Davis Cup win in 2000. The host nation also won in 2004 - when the title match was played in Seville - 2008 and 2009. Spain defeated Argentina in the 2008 final.
