Mardy Fish Foundation

The Mardy Fish Foundation (website) was established to support youth organisations in Indian River County. The Foundation has utilised funds from Fish's Tennis & Jake's Music Fest to provide after school programs in the community. The Foundation opened the Pelican Island Elementary School/Mardy Fish Music Club and Health & Fitness Club September 11, 2007.  These are after school programs that provide a place for children to go and partake in various activities to improve themselves through sports, music, art, and dance.

The Mardy Fish Foundation is expanding the program this fall with the addition of several more after school programs in community schools. In addition, the Foundation will continue to support other youth organisations, including the Boys & Girls Club of Vero Beach and the Youth Guidance Foundation, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in need in Indian River County through the establishment of positive mentoring relationships with volunteer adults. The Youth Guidance Foundation will use the funds raised by the Mardy Fish Foundation to provide children the opportunity to attend summer camp and participate in sports and music programs.

The Mardy Fish Foundations runs two programs: Kids on Court; and Achievable Dreams. The Foundation is also associated with the following charities:

"I’ve been so fortunate to have this exciting career,” Fish said.  “But what makes me most happy is that I can take my success as a tennis player and turn it into something special to help the kids of Indian River County through Mardy Fish Foundation initiatives.  Whether its athletics, music, the arts, or other learning skills, every child can benefit from being exposed to new interests.”
