Britain’s Andy Murray will try to defend his AEGON Championships title at The Queen's Club, 11th-17th June before targeting a unique grass court treble at The Championships, Wimbledon and the London Olympics.

After lifting the AEGON Championships trophy without dropping a set three years ago, Murray triumphed again in spectacular fashion last year, winning a thrilling, rain-delayed Monday final against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The last British player to win three titles at The Queen’s Club was FG Lowe, who lifted the trophy for a third and final time in 1925.

"I'm excited to be going back to The Queen's Club,” said Murray. “It's a great tournament and the grass courts are as good as anywhere in the world, so it's the perfect preparation for Wimbledon. There's always a great atmosphere and having won the trophy twice previously, I have nothing but good memories. They also have one of the biggest trophies on the tennis circuit, and most of the Wimbledon champions are on it, so you know it's a big deal. I'd love to win it again this year."

Murray, guided by recently appointed coach Ivan Lendl - himself a two-time champion at The Queen’s Club (1989 and 1990) - began the year impressively. He won the title at the Brisbane International in the opening week of the year, and then reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne, losing a classic five-set encounter against eventual champion Novak Djokovic. He has now reached the semi-finals of the five most recent Grand Slam tournaments.

The Championships, Wimbledon will follow a week after the AEGON Championships, and then the Olympic tennis event will also take place on grass at the All England Club, 28th July - 5th August.

The official ballot, for people that have signed up to the AEGON Championships mailing list, is now open, and can be entered via the official tournament website until 5th March.

Alternatively, seats can be guaranteed by joining The Crown Club - a debenture-style scheme. Another way to watch the tournament in style and to entertain guests is via a Hospitality Package. They are now on-sale here.

The AEGON Championships will be broadcast live, every day from 11th-17th June, on BBC Television and Eurosport.
