Defending champion Novak Djokovic has been named top seed at The Championships, Wimbledon. Rafael Nadal, the 2008 and 2010 titlist, six-time former winner Roger Federer and British favourite Andy Murray complete the top four seeds.

Five-time major champion Djokovic won this year's Australian Open (d. Nadal) and finished runner-up to Nadal at Roland Garros. Nadal has won 11 major titles. Federer, who holds a record 16 Grand Slam championship trophies, will be attempting to lift his first major title since the 2010 Australian Open. Murray is bidding to become the first British major champion since Fred Perry in 1936.

Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor, the recent Roland Garros champions, have been named top seeds in the doubles competition. Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, the 2006 and 2001 titlists are second seeds. Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek, who won their first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open (d. Bryans) in January, are fourth seeds.
