Third seed Roger Federer will square off against fourth seed Andy Murray on Sunday for a place in the Wimbledon history books. Home favourite Murray leads Federer 8-7 in their FedEx ATP Head 2 Head series, but all 15 of their previous meetings have come on hard courts.

Federer is contesting is eighth Wimbledon final and is bidding to win a record-tying seventh trophy, which would see him join Pete Sampras. Should he win, Federer will ascend to No. 1 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings, and will tie Sampras for the most weeks as World No. 1 with 286.
Murray is attempting to become the first British man to win the title since Fred Perry triumphed in 1936. Murray has a 0-3 record in Grand Slam championship finals, with two of his losses coming to Federer, at the 2008 US Open and 2010 Australian Open.
