Fourth seed Andy Murray will meet fifth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France on Friday for a place in the final at The Championships, Wimbledon. British favourite Murray leads Tsonga 5-1 in their FedEx ATP Head 2 Head series, including wins at 2010 Wimbledon and the 2011 AEGON Championships final.

Murray is appearing in his fourth successive Wimbledon semi-final. He is attempting to become the first British man to reach the Wimbledon final since Henry "Bunny" Austin in 1938. The last British man to lift the title was Fred Perry, two years earlier. Murray has a 0-3 record in Grand Slam championship finals.
Tsonga’s best major championship result came at the 2008 Australian Open, where he finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic. Last year at Wimbledon, he lost to Djokovic in the semi-finals. The last Frenchman to reach the Wimbledon final was Cedric Pioline in 1997 (l. to Sampras). Yvon Petra was France’s last titlist at the All England Club in 1946.
