Bryans Scrape Into SFs; Lindstedt/Tecau To Play Melzer/Petzschner In Repeat Of 2010 Final

Second seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan maintained their quest for a third Wimbledon doubles title on Thursday with a 5-7, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 victory over fellow Americans Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram in two hours and 46 minutes on Court One.
At 4-4 in the fifth set, Lipsky and Ram fell behind at 0/40. Ram put away two smashes to reduce the deficit to 30/40, but Lipsky double-faulted to hand the decisive break to the Bryans, who won 105 of their 139 service points.
The Bryans, who lifted the 2006 and 2011 trophies at The Championships, go onto face wild cards Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen in the semi-finals.

In the top half of draw, fifth seeds Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau are one victory away from reaching the title match for the third straight year.
The Swedish-Romanian team defeated Italian Daniele Bracciali and Julian Knowle of Austria 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 40 minutes on Thursday. Lindstedt and Tecau won 40 of their 43 first service points, hitting 19 aces and 23 winners. They did not face a break point.
In the semi-finals, the duo will play 10th seeds and 2010 champions Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner, who defeated No. 15 seeds Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in two hours and eight minutes. Melzer and Petzschner converted five of their 13 break point opportunities.
