The sixth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament of the year gets underway at the Rogers Cup in Toronto.

Rogers Cup: The Rogers Cup begins in Toronto on Monday, featuring seven of the Top 10 players and overall 23 of the Top 30 players in the South African Airways ATP Rankings. Olympic Games Gold Medallist Andy Murray makes a swift transition as he bids to win the Rogers Cup title for the third time. Defending champion and World No. 2 Novak Djokovic leads the field as he attempts to win his 12th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown and second of the season. Home favourite Milos Raonic flies the flag for Canada, while last week’s Washington, D.C., finalists, Alexandr Dolgopolov and Tommy Haas, also take the court.

RaonicThe Canadian No. 1 competes at his hometown tournament in Toronto, bidding to win his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophy. The 21 year old is coming off a marathon effort at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where he lost the third set of his second-round match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 25-23. The right-hander has won two titles this season, lifting the trophy at the Aircel Chennai Open and the Sap Open in San Jose.

Olympics: Andy Murray became the first British man to win a singles gold medal in 104 years on Sunday at the London 2012 Olympics Tennis Event. The third-seeded Scot defeated top seed Roger Federer of Switzerland 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 in one hour and 56 minutes on Centre Court at Wimbledon, just four weeks after he lost The Championships final to the same player.

Americans Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan won the doubles gold medal on Saturday at the London 2012 Olympics Tennis Event. The top seeds defeated second-seeded Frenchmen Michael Llodra and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-4, 7-6(2) in 88 minutes on Centre Court at the All England Club, Wimbledon.
