Melo/Robredo Upset No. 2 Seeds In Brisbane

First-time pairing Marcelo Melo and Tommy Robredo reached the Brisbane International semi-finals on Thursday as they upset second-seeded Brits Colin Fleming and Jamie Murray 7-6(2), 6-4 in 72 minutes.
The Brazilian/Spanish duo will face another unseeded tandem, Grigor Dimitrov and Kei Nishikori, after the Bulgarian/Japanese duo edged Australian alternates John Peers and John-Patrick Smith 7-6(6), 7-5 in 82 minutes.
Marcos Baghdatis and Jarkko Nieminen will face top seeds Eric Butorac and Paul Hanley in the semi-finals of this ATP World Tour 250 hard-court tournament after dismissing Colombian duo Alejandro Falla and Santiago Giraldo 6-4, 6-4 in 59 minutes.
In Doha, No. 2 seeds Julian Knowle and Filip Polasek advanced to the Qatar ExxonMobil Open final after prevailing 7-5, 6-7(5), 10-6 over Dustin Brown and Jonathan Marray. Knowle and Polasek won all seven of their first serve points in the decisive match tie-break.
At the Aircel Chennai Open, Raven Klaasen and Nicholas Monroe stunned No. 1 seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Daniel Nestor with a 6-4, 7-5 victory. Klaasen and Monroe saved 10 of the 11 break points they faced en route to clinching the upset victory in 75 minutes.
In the semi-finals, Klaasen and Monroe will take on Benoit Paire and Stanislas Wawrinka. The French/Swiss pair turned the tables against third seeds Rohan Bopanna and Rajeev Ram for a 0-6, 6-4, 10-1 comeback win in 53 minutes.
