World No. 1 Novak Djokovic emerged unscathed from a scare Monday, when a crowd barrier collapsed while he was signing autographs for fans following his singles victory at the Hopman Cup in Perth.

The barrier hit his legs and sent a handful of children sprawling, but Djokovic assured reporters, “I am good. It was a bit of a shock and I’m glad that the children involved are okay. I am fine.”

Djokovic returned to the court later in the day to team up with fellow Serbian Ana Ivanovic in mixed doubles, won by Italy’s Andreas Seppi and Francesca Schiavone  7-6(4), 6-4.
