Almagro Rolls In Buenos Aires Opener; Bellucci Upset

Second seed Nicolas Almagro began his campaign at the Copa Claro in Buenos Aires on Monday with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Guido Pella.
Almagro, the 2011 champion, broke Pella four times to win his opener in just under an hour. Pella's loss marked a mixed day of results for home favourites.
Wild card Diego Sebastian Schwartzman posted his first ATP World Tour match win after he upset fourth-seeded Thomaz Bellucci 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. The Argentine won 62 per cent of his second serve return points.
Schwartzman’s countryman Federico Delbonis also advanced in first-round action, defeating Joao Sousa 6-1, 6-4. Delbonis won 80 per cent of his service points to seal the win in 67 minutes.
Fifth-seeded Horacio Zeballos wasn't as fortunate as his compatriots. The recent VTR Open titlist fell to Aljaz Bedene, who won 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3.
Eighth seed Albert Ramos rolled over Flavio Cipolla 6-1, 6-0 in just 46 minutes. Ramos capitalised on five of his six break point chances.
Gastao Elias, Dusan Lajovic, Julian Reister and Facundo Arguello successfully qualified into the main draw.
