Qureshi/Rojer Avoid Miami Upset Bug

Fifth seeds Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer avoided an upset bug at the Sony Open Tennis on Sunday with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-3, 14-12 victory over Treat Huey and Dominic Inglot in Miami.

In the quarter-finals, Qureshi and Rojer will play Nicolas Almagro and Oliver Marach, who knocked off third seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Daniel Nestor 6-3, 6-3. The Spanish/Austrian duo won 75 per cent of their service points in the 56-minute encounter.

Teaming up for the second straight tournament, Grigor Dimitrov and Frederik Nielsen topped seventh-seeded Michael Llodra and Leander Paes 7-6(6), 7-6(4). Dimitrov and Nielsen edged the French/Indian pair 80 to 79 in total points won to prevail in 89 minutes.
