World No. 10 Janko Tipsarevic has been named ‘The Man Of The Year’ by Serbian publication The Men. The honour is awarded to those who help advance Serbia’s image through their successes.

Upon hearing he was selected, Tipsarevic said, “This took me by complete surprise, but also delighted me. Mostly, I am glad that my results, both those achieved as a member of the national team, namely Serbian Davis Cup team, and those achieved individually, are recognised as significant sporting contributions to improving the image and reputation of our country abroad. This award will certainly present an additional motivation and inspiration for me to continue to give my best in this year and in the years to follow.”

Among his highlights in 2012, Tipsarevic ascended to No. 8 in the Emirates ATP Rankings, qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals and won his first clay-court crown in Stuttgart.
