Guitar Legend To Perform In Shanghai

The Shanghai Rolex Masters is very pleased to announce that guitar legend Andy Summers formerly of one of the greatest bands ever, “The Police”, will be performing with his new band “Circa Zero” at the award-winning Shanghai Rolex Masters.
Summers and Circa Zero will be headlining the entertainment following the singles final on Sunday 13th October, with the concert being presented by Heineken and Sennheiser.
The band will be performing tracks from their about to be released debut album “Circus Hero” as well as some of the mega-hits from Summers’s days with The Police such as “Every Breath You Take” and “Message in a Bottle”.
Circa Zero is a three member band; along with Summers are lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Rob Giles formerly of “The Rescues” and on drums French Canadian Emmanuelle Caplette.
Circa Zero can be described as an alternative rock band and will play on stage for a 75 minute show.
“This is pretty exciting and it’s going to be a fantastic evening to have such incredible musicians performing on the final night of the tournament,” said Tournament Director Michael Luevano. “Andy and I are close friends and his new band Circa Zero definitely puts the ‘R’ in rock.
“Music by The Police is part of the fabric of a generation so to have a Grammy Award winning musician like Andy at the Shanghai Rolex Masters will be special.”
Entry to the Heineken After Party concert on the Heineken Live Stage is free if fans have a ticket to the final of the Shanghai Rolex Masters to be played at Qi Zhong Stadium 6 to 13 October. In addition to performing at the Shanghai Rolex Masters, Circa Zero will be at On Stage, A2 Lane, 570 Huai Hai Lu, on 10 October from 8pm. Tickets for that show are RM120 in advance or RMB150 at the door.
