Bored Murray Immersed In Football

Faced with several weeks off recuperating from minor back surgery, what does a bored Andy Murray get up to? Answer: Go football crazy and share it all on Twitter.
Three days before his operation, Murray excitedly tweeted his followers that he was off to buy the new Pro Evolution Soccer computer game: “New pro evo out today! Need to go pick it up… Should give me something to do next few weeks.”
But the Scot was soon calling on his fans for help when he couldn’t register the game online. Indeed it isn’t the only technical mishap Murray has encountered while off the ATP World Tour, also asking his for help to set up the subscription channel BT Sport at his home:
“How complicated is t [sic] to set up btsport!?!” But later tweeted, “Sorted! Unfortunately, the first thing on my screen was my mother…”
As well as playing football on his PlayStation and watching games on the television, Murray has also been to watch a live match, attending the UEFA Champions League fixture between Arsenal and Napoli at the Emirates Stadium in London on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old Dunblane native has also been busy managing his own fantasy football team online. However, ATPWorldTour.com is reliably informed that his team isn’t doing quite as well so far this season. Indeed, despite working hard on his transfer deals, Murray is trailing good friend and fellow British player Ross Hutchins, who leads their mini-league.
But it hasn’t all been about football for Murray. The right-hander was spotted out taking a walk in the Surrey countryside and stopped to have a photo with a dog walker and her border terrier, the same breed as Murray’s two dogs: Maggie May and Rusty.
