Bjorkman To Make Comeback In Stockholm
by ATP Staff|
Jonas Bjorkman returns to the ATP World Tour for one tournament, teaming up with Robert Lindstedt at this year’s If Stockholm Open.
“I've been practising since the beginning of September and prepared myself in the best possible way,” Bjorkman told eurosport.se. “The strokes feel good but it will be a big difference to go from practice to match.”
The 41-year-old Swede shared his desire to take home the trophy. “Robert is being humble saying we have a good chance to win a couple of matches. My goal is to win the whole tournament. It's the mind frame I always need, I cannot do anything without being fully committed.”
Before his retirement from the ATP World Tour in 2008, Bjorkman won six singles titles and 54 doubles titles. He owns one singles title (1997) and three doubles titles (2003, 2007, 2008) from the If Stockholm Open.
Bjorkman is Marketing Director at the If Stockholm Open, which runs 14-20 October.
