Novak Djokovic and Radek Stepanek will open the 2013 Davis Cup between Serbia and defending champion Czech Republic at the Belgrade Arena on Friday.

World No. 2 Djokovic captured his third title at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals on Monday night. Stepanek competed with Leander Paes in the doubles competition at The O2 in London.

Janko Tipsarevic will not compete for 2010 titlist Serbia as he is still recovering from a right heel injury, which he sustained at the Valencia Open 500 last month.

Serbian’s captain Bogdan Obradovic replaced Tipsarevic with Dusan Lajovic, who is currently No. 117 in the Emirates ATP Rankings. Lajovic will challenge World No. 7 Tomas Berdych in the second singles rubber.
